The overall aim of this course is to develop your knowledge, skills & awareness related to preventing and tackling bullying and hate crime experienced by people with disabilities
This course covers:
o Definition and different types of bullying and hate crime
o Why people with disabilities are particularly vulnerable to
bullying and hate crime
o Possible signs that a person with a disability might be
experiencing bullying or hate crime
o What people with disabilities say about experiencing
bullying and hate crime
o Evidence from research
o Legislation and local policy guidance related to bullying and hate
crime
o Helpful and unhelpful responses to bullying and hate crime
o Barriers to including people with disabilities in
developing, implementing and auditing anti-bullying strategies, and
overcoming these
o Supporting vulnerable witnesses to access justice
o Developing and promoting an Anti-Bullying culture
